How to book Train Ticket in IRCTC

Ticket Booking in IRCTC

 IRCTC ticket reservation info: 

 Required information: Before booking the ticket you should know the Source of journey, Destination,Date, Travel class and berth
  • 90 days before the date of journey , the IRCTC advance booking reservation will start.
  • Tatkal ticket will be available two days before date of journey  and start available from 10.00 AM  2 days before. 
  • Maximum 6 people's reservation  can be booked in the same ticket and in an account maximum 10 journey's can be booked  per month.
  • For refunding the canceled ticket you have to cancel it 4 hours before the scheduled time of train. Refunding infomation will be there in www.irctc.co.in
How to book  train ticket in IRCTC 

1. Register in www.irctc.co.in site and remember the username and password
  • Login the site using your username and password
  • The screen Plan your travel  you can enter the following
          From : source of journey ( use the station codes : MAS,CHK,TCR..etc)
          To     : Destination 
          Date : select the date of journey
          Ticket Type:  E for e-ticket
          Quota : General ( if you are booking Tatkal , choose the same )

2. click on Find trains in the above screen and  choose train and class selecting the circle


       
       
3.  Click on Book button 


4. Give passenger's  Name ,Sex,Age and  berth required  and below the screen verify the security code generated



5. Check the entered details in the below screen once again and click on 'Make payment'



6. You can use different banks credit card, debit card, visa card or Net banking for the payment
once you selected your bank , it will direct to the corresponding bank gateway. Below showed the screen for netbanking
